Your Wedding Planning Made Easy

Wedding Bookings

Wedding Bookings

This is where you really start to feel like it is all going to happen.  You have to set a date for your wedding and you need to know that the places etc you want, are available.

Sometimes when first considering your wedding bookings, it is a good idea to ask what Saturdays in a particular month each place has available.

If you wish to get married in April, then what Saturdays or even Friday nights are available at the venues, ceremony places, photographers, cars, flowers, cake decorators, dressmakers/designers.

If you are prepared to be a little flexible, you will find you will probably get the  bookings at your chosen places.

This will be the most time consuming of all your wedding planning but it is very important and you will probably feel at times like pulling your hair out.

Don’t!!

Take your time, get yourself a file or notebook and diary.  Keep a record of everything.  You can work out your own filing system, just make sure you take down everything.  Once you have the available dates at the places you like, then you can work out a definite date and time for your special day.

As you already realize, next to the bride and groom, your wedding booking are most important part to make your day a success.

When making the wedding bookings let each place know that you are planning on having a wedding theme.  Most places will be able to guide you for your choices when they know your wedding theme.  This is so important to making your special day a big success.

Many places will want a deposit when you make your booking.  Always check if there are conditions to refunding the deposit if something out of your control happens and you have to cancel.

Many people don’t understand that when asked for a deposit when booking, that the time, date etc is set aside for you and when you cancel they may not be able to get another booking for that time and so their business suffers.

Some places have a policy that if they get a replacement booking, they will then refund your deposit.  Much depends on the circumstances, so keep a cool head if this does happen to you, be polite and nice, don’t get agro if they say no refund just explain your position whatever that happens to be, and be genuine after all they do have to run a business.

Once you have sorted your wedding bookings out you can concentrate on what you want to happen with those bookings, like how they are going to fit into your wedding theme.

This is where the fun starts and this is what you should be enjoying.  I’ve seen so many brides stressed out because they didn’t have a good wedding plan in place to start.
