Wedding Photographer
Here
is a very important area of your
wedding planning, your wedding photographer.
You
need to have your questions ready
before you go to see the photographer.
You may have one already chosen because they
did such a good job of a friend’s
or close family member’s wedding.
Always make your own choice, what suited them
may not suit you.
Most expensive is not always best and
cheapest is not always worst.
If
you visit a company that have several
wedding photographers, then make sure you speak to the one who will be
assigned
to your wedding. While
you may get
along fine with the person you see at the studio, this may not be so
with the
actual photographer. Feeling
comfortable with your photographer and having trust that they will
provide you
with wonderful memories is so very important, so choose carefully.
You
should decide firstly what type of
wedding memories you want your photographs to provide.
These
are questions you should ask yourself
Do
you want
- Color
- Black & White
- A mixture
- Sepia
- Formal poses
- Outside/inside settings
- Formal Album
- Just the proofs
- Negatives
- A video
Now
here are a few questions you should ask
the photographer
- What type of photos color, black &
white, sepia?
- Do they do a mixture of formal and candid?
- Is there an album and scanning to CD Rom?
- Do they have a standard wedding package and
what is included?
- Do they have other packages and what do you get
with each package?
- Can you see their portfolio?
- Is it possible to see some actual proofs of
weddings they have done?
- Can you meet with the person who will be taking
your photos?
- Do they have references?
- What type of cameras and equipment and do they
have back up equipment?
- Do they do retouching of the photos for
blemishes?
- Are the proofs included in the package or do
they offer purchase of the proofs?
- How long will the photographer be at the
ceremony and reception and is a meal required?
- Is there a contract provided with all the
details, including if the photographer assigned is not able to attend
what happens and who will notify you about the new arrangements?
- What forms and timing of payments are required?
- Do they have a dress code for their
photographers?
You
will be sure to think of other
questions, add them to your list.
If you would like to have a video of your
special day, then while you are asking the questions, find out if they
have a wedding videographer or have one
they work with.
This
is a specialized field too so you will
need to find an expert.
Your wedding photographer is such a very
important part of your day, they will be responsible for your wonderful
memories .
